Data processing (DP) is any computer process that converts data into information or knowledge.

How does data processing work?
For example, you are creationg a yahoo account, there, they will ask you some information, then you will give them the username you want. They will check there database if the name is available. If its available, then your done.
File is a collection of data and information.
Filename is the label of the file.
Extension is found in the end of the filename. example: .doc, . jpg, etc.

Information is the knowledge of any subject. The concept of information is closely related to notions of constraint, communication, control, data, form, instruction, knowledge, meaning, mental stimulus, pattern, perception, and representation.

Data is organized information. It contains experiences, personal information, numbers, images, etc.
Information is the one that makes data. The experiences, personal details, images. etc. is called information.
